Xiaomi Breaks Free from Smartphone Dominance and Accelerates Its Push Into Artificial Intelligence
Xiaomi’s robust quarterly results, strategic technology layout, and multi-engine business structure are jointly building a solid foundation for its long-term development.

Xiaomi Group has once again attracted strong market attention recently. In a newly released report, a major institution pointed out that Xiaomi is not only maintaining steady growth in smartphones and traditional AIoT (Internet of Things), but is also making breakthrough progress in its electric vehicle and artificial intelligence businesses.

According to its Q3 2025 financial report, Xiaomi’s total revenue reached RMB 113.1 billion, up 22.3% year-on-year; adjusted net profit came in at RMB 11.3 billion, an 80.9% year-on-year increase and a new record high. On this basis, Xiaomi now regards smartphones, AIoT and new businesses (EVs + AI and other innovative lines) as its dual growth engines, with revenue from the latter surging and nearly doubling year-on-year.

From a technology perspective, Xiaomi has been highly active in AI and autonomous driving. Reports indicate that the company has formed multiple specialist teams and achieved industry-leading test results in autonomous driving and embodied AI foundation models. This shows that Xiaomi is attempting to convert its AI technology capabilities into consumer-facing products and intelligent mobility solutions, gradually building a comprehensive ecosystem of “smartphones + home appliances + cars + AIoT.”

At the same time, market institutions are assigning Xiaomi relatively high valuations and future expectations. The latest ratings describe Xiaomi as a company with both “growth and resilience,” and suggest that its business structure is steadily diversifying, with IoT/AIoT expected to account for a larger share of revenue going forward.

In terms of market and strategic outlook, Xiaomi is no longer just a traditional smartphone manufacturer. From smartphones and smart home appliances, to EVs, AI and autonomous driving, and a full IoT ecosystem, it is moving toward becoming a leading global consumer intelligent ecosystem player. The EV business achieving its first single-quarter profitability has also provided important confidence for continued expansion.

Market Commentary:

Xiaomi Group is currently at a critical stage of transformation. If the company can continue to steadily advance its AI + EV + IoT strategy, it is highly likely that in the next few years Xiaomi will grow into a globally competitive technology giant with diversified businesses and sustainably rising profits.
