Worldcoin Price Forecast: WLD advances on Eightco buying, firm retail demand
- Worldcoin is up 12% so far on Monday, extending a double-bottom reversal from the $0.2952 support floor.
- Eightco Holdings disclosed that it holds nearly 302 million WLD tokens, signaling steady institutional interest.
- Retail demand remains firm, with Open Interest jumping 15% over the last 24 hours amid elevated funding rates.
Worldcoin (WLD) is up 12% so far on Monday, advancing the mild gains from the previous day. Eightco Holdings (ORBS) reported that it holds 302 million WLD tokens, worth roughly $96 million, indicating steady institutional interest, with retail demand holding firm as Open Interest is up 15% in 24 hours. The technical outlook for WLD indicates a mild bullish bias as selling pressure wanes.

Eightco Holdings continues to hold WLD despite a bid-price deficiency notice
Eightco Holdings raised $270 million through a private placement at $1.46/share, but now ORBS has closed below $1 for 30 straight business days. Investors who bought at $1.46 are already sitting on significant losses, triggering a bid-price deficiency notice from Nasdaq on Thursday.

Following the notice, Eigthco disclosed its holdings, including $142 million in Cash, 16,278 Ethereum (ETH) tokens, roughly 302 million WLD tokens, $90 million in pre-IPO OpenAI equity, and $18 million in Beast Industries.
Although Eightco holds approximately $378 million, most of its assets lack liquidity. If ORBS fails to trade above $1 for 10 consecutive business days before February 1, 2027, it could face delisting or be required to take corrective action, such as a reverse stock split.
Despite facing pressure, WLD remains a significant part of Eightco Holdings, reflecting steady institutional interest.
Could retail demand fuel the WLD rally?
Worldcoin gains retail demand in the near term, supporting the mild recovery. CoinGlass data shows the WLD futures Open Interest (OI) is up 15% over the last 24 hours to $274.03 million, indicating an increase in notional value of active perpetual contracts and a possible positional buildup. At the same time, the funding rate remains elevated at 0.0073%, suggesting that traders are willing to buy long positions.

Technical outlook: Could WLD extend its rally?
Worldcoin trades above $0.3500 at press time on Monday, flashing signs of near-term recovery under a broader capped tone below the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs).
Momentum shows signs of recovery, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) rising to 52 above the midline and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) crossing above its signal line as buying pressure emerges.
Looking up, the 50-day and 100-day EMAs at $0.3653 and $0.3785, respectively, are guarding the upside to the $0.4000 round figure.
On the downside, the $0.2952 floor, which forms the base of the recent double-bottom reversal, remains a crucial support zone where buyers could emerge to buy the dip.
