What Is the Ichimoku Cloud Indicator and How Do You Read It?
The Ichimoku Cloud, also known as Ichimoku Kinko Hyo, is a technical analysis indicator that shows trend direction, momentum, and support and resistance levels in one view. Japanese journalist Goichi Hosoda developed the Ichimoku Cloud in the 1930s and published it in 1969, and the name translates to "one-look equilibrium chart." The Ichimoku Cloud uses 5 lines: 1) the Conversion Line, 2) the Base Line, 3) Leading Span A, 4) Leading Span B, and 5) the Lagging Span. The area between Leading Span A and Leading Span B forms the cloud, which traders use to judge the trend at a glance.

What Is a Rounding Bottom Pattern and How Do You Trade It?
A rounding bottom pattern is a U-shaped reversal chart pattern that signals a potential bullish reversal. Traders also call a rounding bottom a saucer bottom, and the pattern usually takes several weeks, months or even years to form. Traders use one main entry strategy on a rounding bottom: a long position when a candle closes above the neckline on rising volume. The neckline is the horizontal resistance line at the high where the decline started, and the trade comes with a stop-loss below the lowest point or a recent swing low and a price target set by the measure rule.

Market Structure Shift (MSS): How to Identify and Trade It
A Market Structure Shift (MSS) is a price action signal that suggests a potential trend reversal when price breaks a significant swing high or swing low against the prevailing trend, typically with strong directional momentum known as displacement. Traders use MSS to identify when buying or selling pressure may be changing, although a structural break does not guarantee a reversal. In Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and Inner Circle Trader (ICT) methods, a Market Structure Shift helps traders evaluate market direction, identify possible entry opportunities and distinguish a genuine change in momentum from a temporary pullback.

Break of Structure (BOS): Types, How to Identify and Trade It
A Break of Structure (BOS) occurs when price moves beyond a significant previous swing high or swing low in the direction of an existing market trend. A bullish BOS breaks above a relevant swing high during an uptrend, while a bearish BOS breaks below a relevant swing low during a downtrend. Traders commonly look for a candlestick close beyond the level to confirm the break, although this does not guarantee that the trend will continue. BOS trading is part of price action analysis and Smart Money Concepts (SMC). Traders use it to assess market direction, identify possible continuation setups and distinguish developing trends from temporary price movements.

What Is On Balance Volume (OBV) and How Does It Work?
On balance volume is a technical indicator that turns trading volume into one cumulative line: it adds a period's volume when the closing price rises and subtracts that volume when the closing price falls. Traders shorten the name to OBV. The result is a single line that rises or falls with buying and selling pressure, giving traders and investors who use technical analysis a volume-based view of trend strength that price alone cannot show. For traders working across stocks, forex, gold, and cryptocurrencies, OBV is useful for confirming trends and spotting early warning signs when volume stops supporting a move. This article walks through what OBV measures, how to calculate it, how to read it on a live chart and interpret signals such as divergences, where it falls short, trading strategies that use it, how to apply it on MT4 and MT5, and how it compares with related tools such as the Accumulation/Distribution line.

MACD Histogram: How to Read the Bars, Trading Signals and Divergence
The MACD histogram is a set of bars in the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator that shows the distance between the MACD line and the signal line, drawn above and below the zero line. Traders read the MACD histogram to see whether momentum is building or fading, and to get an early warning that a signal line crossover is coming. The bars look like trading volume, but the MACD histogram only measures the gap between two lines.

Gartley Pattern: Types, Rules and Trade Setup
The Gartley pattern is a harmonic chart pattern with five points, X, A, B, C and D, whose Fibonacci ratios mark a potential reversal zone (PRZ) at point D. In a valid Gartley pattern, point B sits at 61.8% of the XA leg and point D sits at 78.6% of the XA leg. Traders watch the PRZ for price to turn, then plan the entry, the stop loss and the profit targets.

ABCD Pattern: What It Is and How to Trade It
The ABCD pattern is a four point harmonic pattern made of three legs, also written AB=CD because the CD leg tends to match the AB leg in length. Traders use the ABCD pattern to find where price may turn, then plan a trade around that area.

Silver Bullet Strategy: ICT Times, Rules & How to Trade
The ICT Silver Bullet strategy is a time-based intraday trading method associated with Michael J. Huddleston, known as the Inner Circle Trader (ICT). It combines liquidity sweeps, market structure shifts and fair value gaps (FVGs) to identify potential trade entries during three one-hour windows: 3-4 AM, 10-11 AM and 2-3 PM New York local time. Traders apply the strategy to forex, indices and other financial markets. However, not every trading window produces a valid setup, and the strategy does not guarantee profitable trades.
